Mix Together:
2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil or Butter
1/3 cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Yeast (I use INSTANT no waiting)
3 cups warm Water
4 teaspoons Salt ( I use about 3 to 3 1/2)
1/2 cup Milk or Buttermilk
Let stand for 5 minutes to help dissolve the salt
Mix in:
1 Egg
Add 8 to 9 cups of flour mix in your shinny new mixers :0)
Add 4 more cups of flour at first then 1 cup at a time until you have all the flour in (I use 8 to 8 1/2 cups)
Mixture won't be as elastic as other breads, but it tastes great!
Place in greased bowl. Cover with towel or sprayed plastic wrap & let stand to rise 1 1/2 hours
Flour board or counter ~ divide dough into 2 or 3 equal parts. Form into loaves.
Place in 2 large pans or 3 smaller ones. Cover with towel & rise 1 hour, poke bread if it pops back its ready to cook.
Bake 350* for 30 to 35 minutes.
Remove from pans brush tops of bread with butter.
