Grandma Harvey's Dilled Green Beans

2 pounds small tender green beans
1 teaspoon red pepper
4 cloves garlic
4 large heads dill
2 _ cups vinegar
2 _ cups water
_ cup salt

Wash and stem green beans; pat dry. Cut in length to fill pint jars. Pack in lengths to fill the jars. To each jar, add _ teaspoon red pepper, 1 garlic glove and 1 head dill. Measure vinegar, water, and salt into saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour boiling hot syrup over beans, filling to _ inch of top of jar. Adjust lids. Process in boiling water bath for 7 minutes (start to count processing time as soon as water in canner returns to boiling) YIELD: 4 pints.
